LLLT has been studied for decades. It is one of the most fascinating quantum healing modalities on the planet. We have used low level laser since 2008 at Next Level Functional Health to treat heads, toes and everything in between. We use a magical combination of red, violet and green wavelengths. Its uses are truly limitless! Patients commonly seek laser therapy for musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical recovery and infection reduction, soft tissue injuries, neuropathy, sports injuries, organ support, cognitive wellness, and overall health optimization.
Request an AppointmentRed Laser (635 nm)
Red laser therapy is widely used to support healing in muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. By stimulating cellular energy production in the mitochondria and circulation, red laser therapy may help reduce pain, support tissue repair, and promote recovery from injury. Dr. Sweet relates that if she had had this laser when she was practicing sports medicine, her job as an athletic trainer would have been a lot easier! Read below how we use this for brain health too.
Violet Laser (405 nm)
Violet laser therapy delivers a higher-energy wavelength that supports tissue repair and cellular regeneration. Research has also demonstrated that 405 nm violet light possesses significant antimicrobial properties, helping reduce a wide range of bacteria through natural photochemical reactions. This unique wavelength may support the body’s healing environment while promoting healthy tissue recovery and overall wellness. The antimicrobial properties of violet laser therapy make it a valuable addition to comprehensive treatment programs focused on tissue healing and recovery. We use this on patients immediately after dental surgeries to reduce inflammation and the risk of infection. Patients report very little swelling and little need for pain meds.
Green Laser (520 nm)
Green laser therapy provides a unique wavelength that supports cellular function, circulation, and tissue healing. Research in LLLT suggests that laser therapy may support bone healing, fracture recovery, and regenerative cellular processes involved in cartilage health. Green laser is often incorporated into advanced multi-wavelength treatment protocols designed to optimize recovery and support healthy joint function. In our office, adding this wavelength has been a game changer. We have helped multiple patients avoid bone-on-bone knee joint surgeries and be able to climb stairs pain-free. We believe this happens because of the effects the laser has on cartilage cells.
Laser Therapy for Brain Health
Back in 2008 when Dr. Sweet first began exploring red lasers, one of her course instructors told the class, “Laser Your Brain, Laser Your Brain, Laser Your Brain.” The research wasn’t even out yet, but this doctor understood the physiology of laser and cellular health, and he was right. Emerging research suggests that LLLT may support healthy brain function by enhancing cellular energy production within brain cells, improving cerebral circulation, and supporting the brain’s natural repair processes. Studies have investigated the use of this therapy to support cognitive performance, mental clarity, focus, memory, mood, and neurological recovery. By helping optimize mitochondrial function, blood and lymph flow within the brain, laser therapy may promote overall brain health and neurological wellness as part of a comprehensive care program. Dr. Sweet and other patients have experienced all-of-the-above listed benefits. It’s quite remarkable.
A Natural Approach to Healing
Low Level Laser Therapy is FDA approved, safe, comfortable, drug-free, and requires no downtime. Whether used for injury recovery, joint health, neurological wellness, or performance optimization, laser therapy offers a natural way to support the body’s ability to heal and function at its best.
